Singer-songwriter Elisa Korenne will present a free arts and business workshop to teach marketing, social media skills, and creativity in Fergus Falls, Detroit Lakes, and New York Mills.

New York Mills-based artist Elisa Korenne received a 2013 Artist Initiative Award from the Minnesota State Arts Board to build her social media skills and strengthen her brand identity. As part of this grant, the State Arts Board has provided residents of west central Minnesota the opportunity to attend a free two-part workshop where Elisa will share the skills that has learned.

Each workshop will take place in two parts, creativity and business, separated by a bring-your-own lunch/dinner where Elisa will be available for Q&A and conversation. In the first half of the workshop Elisa will lead participants in exercises to enhance their creativity. The session will conclude with a group songwriting project. Participants will leave with tools they can use to jumpstart their creative projects. The second half of the workshop will focus on social media and marketing skills and tools.

The workshop is free.  It is geared for adults and open to mature teenagers.  Participants may attend any or all of the workshop-related events.
